The rules are simple really.
TITLES: There are NO titles on this
board except for Moderators and Administrators. Everyone is a Fugitive,
no matter if you have 1 or 1000 posts. So don't even bother spam
posting to get your title up or your post count will be fragged.
Moderators and Administrators have a title other than Fugitive so
you'll know who they are in the event you need to contact one of us.
WARNINGS:
In most cases, we operate on a ‘3 strikes and you’re out’ rule here.
You'll get a private message or email with each of your first 2
warnings and then the 3rd time you break the rules you’re gone with no
warning. These rules are basic common sense stuff here folks and we
don't think we are asking too much for everyone to follow them.
MULTIPLE
ACCOUNTS: Plain and simple, don't make em. If you create multiple
accounts and get caught, your most recent account will be deleted.
PERSONAL
PREFERENCES: As of late the size and quantity of signatures has begun
to be a problem on the board, and therefore we must restrict signature
size and content. The amount of text space available to you is the same
as before. However, you will now only be allowed ONE banner, and it can
be no bigger than 300x100 pixels. Banners which are larger than that or
signatures with multiple banners will be subject to editing by a
moderator. You are also not to have links to "character power sites"
such as Outwar, Kevan.org and their ilk. These sites are generally
loaded with spam/virus problems. Links of this nature will lead to your
immediate banning.
About your posts:
1) No spamming.
You only need to post a message once. We understand some multiple
posts… maybe the server didn't respond as quickly as you would have
wanted, but we will not tolerate spam in any form. Try not to make a
novel out of your posts either. We don't mind them being long but just
not Loooooooooooooooong.
2) No Trolling. For those that need to see what a Troll is:
troll
v.,n. To utter a posting on Usenet designed to attract predictable
responses or flames. Derives from the phrase "trolling for newbies";
which in turn comes from mainstream "trolling";, a style of fishing in
which one trails bait through a likely spot hoping for a bite. The
well-constructed troll is a post that induces lots of newbies and
flamers to make themselves look even more clueless than they already
do, while subtly conveying to the more savvy and experienced that it is
in fact a deliberate troll. If you don't fall for the joke, you get to
be in on it.
3) No flaming. Argue all you want just don't make it personal.
4)
No unauthorized advertisement. Contact us before you make any
advertisements in any of our forums. If you post an ad without asking
we will either close it or delete--that will be up to the particular
mod and their forum. We do this so as to check the content of pages
that folks wish to bring to the attention of the board. Most of the
time there will be no problems and you'll get the okay. It is those
sites containing objectionable material (things that would violate our
own board rules) that will wind up getting the "no can do" for a reply.
5)
No excessive swearing. This is a public place so try act like you are
in public. The swearing isn't necessary to get your point across.
6) No chat or leet speak.
Remember
that this is a post forum setting not a high speed chat room, and that
people from all over the world post here. Take your time, and show you
payed some attention to what someone has posted before you. Take the
time and courtesy to reply legibly. This means using proper
punctuation, spelling and grammar to the best of your ability. We
realize that not everyone is a native English speaker, but that is no
excuse for anyone (fluent in English or otherwise) to reply with things
such as:
U r Koo1!
N1 no where I can $ stuff?
and other forms of leet/chat speak.
The
excuse of "I don't have time to type a regular reply" is unacceptable.
If you don't have the time to reply in anyway but chat/leet speak, then
come back and reply when you do have the time. Any offending posts will
be edited or deleted at the moderators discretion.
7) No
derogatory terms. This applies in all circumstances. It is something
that we do not tolerate at all. No racial epithets, defamation of
sexual preference, gender, or affiliations of any sort. Offenders will
be prosecuted to the full extent of Inquisitorial Law. You want to post
on the board and be treated like an adult then you sure as heck better
learn to speak like one. You can get your post across without having to
sound like you are a teenage dirtbag.
